Hmmm, Sure seems like more than that... What is the HP off the crank then?

i think it is more than that. it smokes a raptor and a Z. both at around the same. I am think more in the 37-40 range. i am pretty sure a moto is 41. which would mean the blaze would have the same, and the speed not far behind. I am guessing a stock cannibal would have around 35.

Each dyno is different. I remember reading that the '01 FX400 had 36 RWHP (the Cannibal and Speed would be the same). I don't know what dyno that was performed on and you could likely take the exact same quad across the street and run it on another dyno and get 33 RWHP. Either way, I think it's safe to say that at the wheels it's pumping out mid 30's in stock form and only carrying ~375lbs. wet.

can't complain about the hp this thing puts out.....that's for sure! I am going to be tearing mine down this weekend and sending the head down to Harry at Trinity. For 350.00 and a remap I hope to be getting the same 46rwhp that Smitty has now....... : ) JIM

Guy, I dont know, that is why I am asking but doesnt the Speed have more hp than the Cannibal since it has a higher rev limit and better stock mapping?

From Cannondale it was 33 rhp for the cannibal, 37 rhp for the speed, and 39 rhp for the blaze and moto. Then there is smitty's 46.5 rhp (I think that was the number).

The only question I have is about the HP between the Cannibal and the Speed. I thought for sure they were the same map except the Speed had a 11,600 limit instead of the Cannibal's 10,600. There can't possibly be a 4hp difference in that last 1000 RPM.

Yeah I couldn't believe it either. This was off a flyer that I had. I think they have a little different timing. Where is Jeff when you need him. lol

I called a local dealer and he said about the same thing. 33, 37, 39 & 40 HP respectively.

I found it in an old ad when they first came out with the new line(just after the fx400). They had comparison's with all the other big sport quad's. It was a chart showing the power to weight ratio.

Quick Question for you guys. iF YOU REMAP IT IS THAT HOW YOU RAISE THE REV-LIMITER OR IS THERE Another way of doing it? If so how do you do it?

P.S. Sorry about the caps.

Remap is the way to change the rev limiter, timing and fuel injection curve.

Dynojet cost about 35,000, plus all the little things you'll need.

Air fuel meter
slicks
tiedowns
someone who knows how to run one
