What type of terrain do you ride?
How tall are you and how much you weight?
What color hair do you have?

I ride mostly trails and dunes. I'm 6 foot tall and about 225 lbs, hair brwn. The only thing that scares me about the YFZ is I keep hearing about alot of problems like on this YFZ forum. I love the YFZ and thats what I was going to get but I don't know now.

I would agree the YFZ450 has alot of problems, I own a YFZ450 so I'm telling you from experience, but when a YFZ is running good you better hold on to the handlebars....
Since you ride mostly trails and dunes I would go with the Raptor 700, the rappy was basically made for those two types of environments.
Oh and I was just joking around when I asked for your hair color :blah:

I would get a Raptor....them things ride like a cadillac and they have plenty of go. I have a buddy that had one (traded it for a bike) and I loved it. The suspension is PLUSH. I think he had his set way soft but either way it was a nice ride.

Thanks for the input guys. I 've got another ? I've owned my 660 since 2002. How does the 700 compare handling wise to the 660? The reason I was wanting the 450 is because of the handling and the power. If the 700 handles anything like the 660 I want no part of it. I just want something I can sling around the corners and not have that tippy feeling.

The 700 is a lil better than the 660, but not much better. The 450 has very good handling manners due to the lower COG.

cant go wrong with either, do you want a high revving motor or a motor with mad torque. i ride my 450 on tight trails and it wips around good and is very nimble.

Don't let the forums scare you get the YFZ, much more fun to ride.

Well guys I went and picked up my 07 SE YFZ friday, and let me tell you this is one awesome machine. Went to the dunes Sun and had a blast. This thing is head and shoulder above my 02 660 Raptor. I couldn't be happier.
