I just got a set late last week. I havent even had a chance to get them mounted yet. I running the XC tires 20in rear and 22in front. I have heard some good things about them. Right now I have razor2 fronts and razor rear combo. I will let you know how I like them once I get a chance to run with them.

i was wondering the same thing. how the mx tire hooks hup, holds up, how long it last compared to others, is it worth it, etc. the tread pattern looks really good, but idk what kind of compound is. i'm debating whether to just get the mxr6's again, or if i should try these pirelli mx tires....?

I tried a pirelli tire once and I chewed it up too fast. I'm a big fan of the Dunlop 756.

I'm not sure but i do ride in alot of shale and coal chippings though to so that has a very big effects on the tires. Give em a try and find out for youself. I dont remember the exact tire i had it was for soft terrain so the harder compound chunked out.

man i went to buy a new set of tire's.when i got there he tried to sale me the pirelli race rail xc.well they have been on the shelf for 6 month's and he was unable to sale them so he offerd them to me for 50 bucks a tire.so at that price i couldn't turn them down so i bought them.i ran them at the next race and on the third lap i hit a rock or something and sliced the right rear.it had a 5 inch long gash in the side walls.so i went back to my combo.razr2 fronts and itp hd rears.

a freind of mine uses them, she runs the womens class in the gncc's. this is her first year running them and has nothing but good things to say about them.

Yes, I do run them and they are awesome!! Pirelli makes tires & has sucess in about every motorsport. That right there shows they know what they are doing!! I was running the ITP GNCC tires last year, but my Pirelli's seem to actually be holding up better. Yes, they are a hard compund, but if they hold up for GNCC's, locals, and practice. I consider it a very good tire!! We had a local race in the sand, and there wasn't as much wear as other tires did. I highly recommend them!!

As far as hitting a rock, and slicing the sidewall, well sorry dude, that can happen with any tire.
