i was wondering if any company has made a performance exhaust around the 94 db mark yet ,fmf q series etc

I'VE EMAILED HMF ABOUT THEIR QRS ECO EXHAUST, WAITING FOR A RESPONSE. SUPPOSED TO BE 96db. EVERY OTHER CO I'VE FOUND ONLINE HAS BEEN WELL ABOVE THAT.

I RIDE WITH GUYS RUNNING 100 db PIPES AND THEY ARE ANNOYING AS HE!!, BUT I CAN TELL HOW FAR BEHIND ME THEY ARE:D

Muzzy is doing R&D for an exhaust for the 525 and is "60 days out".

They claim a 93 db rating with the quiet core and screen at 3750 rpm. At 4000 rpm they are at 94-95 db, with the screen alone they are at 97 db and at the 100-101 db open.

I would be surprised if HMF adds anything. They did not do any R&D for the 525 on the sport series, but rather just used pipe from the 500.

ANYONE TRY THE END CAP KIT FROM EBAY($ 79.99 BILLET END CAP AND SPARK SCREEN FOR STOCK EXHAUST) JUST WONDERING IF IT ADDS HP OR NOISE. I REMOVED MY END CAP THIS WEEKEND, AND THE INSIDE OF STOCK CAN LOOKS TO FLOW PRETTY FREELY. JUST SPARK ARRESTOR RESTRICTION PRESENT.

Several of us have that, but do not pay $80.00 for it. Here it is for only $40.

It cleans up the looks after pulling out the stock spark arrestor. Without the spark arrestor it does have a power increase and a very nice sound. If you look at eerhard09 post about the Outlaw 525 in the dunes you can see it on his 525 in his pictures. I can definately live with it till more options come out for the 525.

I was very skeptical about just removing the baffle out of the exhaust because I have seen too many where guys just gut the stock pipes and they look and sound like crap. But, I tood the chance on the e-bay end cap looking decent and sounding decent and was very pleased with the look and sound. It actually has a very good thump to the stock exhaust and is not too much louder than the stock arrestor setup. It comes with a spark screen that should suffice at any place that requires it and it looks good on the back of the quad as well. I do not mind the look of the stock exhaust anymore since it is not just a big black blob sticking out!

I am sure you would need to rejet if you haven't already. I did all of the stuff to mine (Remove lid, baffle, and JD Jet kit) all around the same time so I could not tell you the difference between stock and just the baffle removed. It really does seem to flow though so a rejet would probably be needed!

THANKS FOR THE INFO ON THE EXHAUST MOD.

I'M GOING TO ORDER ONE IN THE NEAR FUTURE OR MAYBE LOOK AT MODIFYING MY OWN. A WELDER AND SOME PIPE WITH SOME POLISHING OR BLACK PAINT??

anyone have the db ratings on the various fmf systems offered . i went to the fmf site and most of the systems don't give the specs for all the systems .
