I was looking to buy a timing key for my 400ex, what brand do you guys recomend and where can I get the key and the side case?

timing key? only way i know of adjusting the timing is to tear the motor down to the cam and adjust the chain on the sprocket. do you mean the tensioner?

I think he means a Curtis Sparks Advance Timing key

Ya the curtis sparks is the only brand that I know of and I cant find them or the side case gasket.

go to sparksracing.com they have them on there for 20 or 30 bucks.

C&D can get you both the sparks key and gasket at once.

Also, they sell another timing key from another manufacturer in two types, one for pump gas and one for race gas. These non-Sparks keys don't come with the flywheel puller though.

Still waitin for mine to show up in the mail.

just go to your local honda shop they will have your gasket mine was like 20 bucks or something
