hey me and my brother are gonna try and build an aluminum airbox that relocates the battery. he is a welder and we have all the tools at work. where do i get a longer battery cable? and were do i mount the rev box and soleniod( i think thats what it is) or does stock location work fine? i am planning on guesseting the subframe, cutting the tool box off this time, and mounting a grab bar. its the 250r grab bar is the closest to fitting? thanks for any help..

hi, the longer battery cable you can buy that at NAPA it 5 gage cable if I remember right and I relocated all my wiring in the front of the bike. And for the grab bar a 250R,450R and Z400 grab bars work !

i just bought and installed an aluminum airbox, stock one cracked. my box is bigger then the one showed but i didnt need any longer ground cable. yes all wires come throught he front and the battery sits way back on the left side length wise with the bike with starter solinoid in front of that and regulator on the back right side next to the battery. make sure it is not flat on the bottom or the brake caliper will hit mine the right side of the box slants up for more room so when bottoming out the rear shock it wont hit the caliper. the ground strap went inbetween the back seat grommets. Franky G very nice looking my 400 has an orange frame with blue plastic also.
