well, i replaced the bent and broken shift fork (L) and still have the 2nd gear problem :( it started jumping in/out of 2nd 5 minutes into my piston-ring break-in.
i inspected the gear set and shift drum when i had it apart, and everthing looked fine. nothing worn or stripped. i found the broken fork and figured that was the problem.
is there anything specifc i should do this time around, to find the root cause of the "jumping in/out" of 2nd gear? i haven't pulled the engine yet so i don't know if the fork broke again.
