whats the easiest hybrid motor to put in a 400ex?

yz426/450 or crf450. If you new what your were doing you could build your self a hybrid in a matter of a day. :eek2:

Some motors need a spacer that slides into the pivot bolt part of the motor. I found out a easy way to make one. You take a old sleeve from your swing arm. Grind it down with a grinder and slide it in and you have a spacer. Works perfect and not hard to make takes about a half hour if that.

The motors need 2 lower mounts made, one upper mount made, front motor mounts, and raddy mounts. If you have a oil tank like the yz426 you need to find a spot to put it or maybe even make a new tank.

yz426/450 are the easiest ones to put in a 400ex. if you are looking for an engine to put in your 400ex i can have you covered. i am parting my hybrid and have an engine for sale. it can come complete with carb, wiring, and pipe, or as bare as you want.

Xr 250r bolt it in and ride. But I did tilt mine a little. For chain clearance. Its a blast in the woods. Little sluggish in 4th and 5th though.
