I bought an LRD Pro 4 Series slip-on today for my 05 trx 450r and it seemed to fit loose over my factory pipe.
The instructions say that this slip-on will fit any year trx450r and to use high temp silicon were the pipe and muffler join.
I think that the 06-07 factory header pipe is a little bit bigger diameter were it joins the muffler than the 04-05. Is this the reason why my 05 is a loose fit and why didn't LRD take into consideration the differences between the header pipe size of the 04-05 and 06-07 450r?
The last time I used high temp silicon on an atv header it melted the orange RTV high temp silicon and then leaked.

The 06 header is definitely larger where it goes into the silencer then the 05.
We tried to put my stock 05 silencer on my friends stock 06 header, and his header was way bigger, no way it would fit.

Theres no way they can make a slip on that fits all years.

Isn't there a donut gasket in the stock silencer? Maybe you need it to make it bigger.

Actually the gap is a little bit smaller than the dougnut gasket. I am trying some high temp silicon and crossing my fingers.
