i put on an EHS airbox lid last weekend and it started fine and ran awesome.

i went to start it today and i would hardly start. but once it got warmed up a little it ran fine and never burped a bit.

i'm running a dynojet 160 main and the needle clip is in the slot below the center, stock pilot jet at 2 turns out.

i ordered a 40 42 and 45 pilot jets.

am i on the right track with what this problem is?

air filter clean? spark plug good? battery fully charged? your jetting sounds right and the stock pilot may need a 40? but IMO a 42 is a to much and will foul a plug quick

yeah everything is kosher. at first i thought that i might have flooded it out, but when i was running i smelled the exhaust and it didn't really smell like raw fuel it just smelled normal.

Go with the 40 see how that does.

will do. i kind of figured that it wasn't getting enough fuel b/c when it would run i had the choke on with the idle screw turn as high as it would go and it would barely run till it got warm.

but i tell you what that open air box lid makes mine scream. you go full throttle on it you better hang on. i'm very pleased with it so far. it'll prob be even better once i get that bigger pilot in there.
