i have a 86 250r and i am wondering if anybody has bolted up 450r shocks on the old 250rs.i think the fronts work but im not sure about the back thanx

It will bolt up but it is shorter eye to eye than stock.

Depends. It should mount pretty easy but it wont work right. The top of teh 450r shock might be to fat or to skinny. If its to fat you need to grind it skinnier or if to skinny you need to add washers. The frame might even bottom before the shock does. It be easier to just use a shock made for it. But running a shorter shock would be kind of the same as running a aftermarket linkage except you wont be gaining any travle. If you got the shock try it. O and a 400ex rear shock is better than a 450r rear shock. A 400ex shock is closer the size of the 250r shock but still a little shorter.
