Question about Sparks air filters...

I just got me a sparks filter yesterday and i see that it dosent have the inside cage... Are you supposed to put the stock cage inn it or is it supposed to be run w/o it? It looks sturdy enough to run w/o it but i just want to make sure..

the filter is suppost to be ran without the cage.
