man, i'm having a heck of a time loosening the upper or inside tierod end. what is the trick, i'm using 2 10" cresent wrenches should I use some other wrench or am i going to have to remove the upper a-arm to get to it??? bottom ones loosened up real easy.
thanks!
If you're removing just the rod from the tie rod end... I belive they are left hand threads on one end....
But if you're trying to remove the tie rod assembly from the steering stem, you shouldn't have to remove the a-arms. I'm not a fan of crescent wrenchs, an open end wrench to hold the joint in place and a box wrench or socket to turn the nut worked for me.

like joex said your probably tighting them cause they are threaded to turn the other way

Ok.. i got them. for the record. The left tierod nuts (both upper & lower) loosen to the back of the bike. The right tierod nuts loosen to the front of the bike. Remember each nut loosens the SAME direction.
thanks guys
