My new LTR!!! My Dad and I drove 3 hours straight to Red Bud, IL To pick up my damn near brand new Bone stock LTR450 on its third tank of gas. I Parted out my 300ex and used the money from it some I have saved for the downpayment on the loan. It was about 160 miles both ways, had to cross the mississippi I rode it around my track at my house for about 30 minutes today after I got home from school I cant belevive how much power it has! Its deffinatly a big improvement over the 300. Heres some pics.... At a gas station in Carbondale on the way home

We took the back roads to get to I-55 so we wouldnt have to take 2 lanes the whole way there. I could tell you the exact way there but i dont fell like typing it all out...

big improvement, i just picked one up not long ago and i was in wow after i rode it. If your anything like me the shocks need the preload needs to be taken out a bit and the compression needs a little work as to i am only 160 and the shocks seem pretty stiff.

Those were some of the first things i did, I only weigh 175 and used to a lowered down TT bike a lot of the time and this thing felt like a Ute compared to my 300 (hight wise)but handled just as well, I was very surprised...

Great lookin quad. Still tryin to figure out your trip thoug. Shouldnt have to cross the mississippi at all though but who knows. map quest says it should be no longer than 300 miles the whole trip and they only use like main highways.

heck first thing i noticed on this was in stock form without adjusting these shocks were far superior to any other the aftermarket setup's i've had or ever ridden on any 300 or 250, Im 80-90 percent comfortable on the quad now, just seems my body needs to adjust to the quad, to me it feels narrower around the tank area which is nice just is a different feel, in the air i feel i can easily throw it around and bring it back way more than my old 250. only thing i did notice was it pushed a good bit in the corners when i first got it after adjusting the shocks a bit it has nearly quit. with the lid off and cbrm it really comes alive, i've already installed a dasa pipe with the cbrm but it still runs lean i've just been leaving the airbox lid on until i receive a pc

Yeah, thats part of the way we took. I wanted to take the way mapquest said but my dad was driving and I really wasnt worried how we got there, just that we did get there. I just wanted my quad ans to ride it. lol. I'll be racin it at a few local races and at the last round of the EDT TT nationals. Oh yeah Rollie you ever happen to be in my area hit me up and we'll ride.
