They said that they crack and that they are just overall junk.

Is this true?

Probably someone that just wants to start something. Pro Armor products are some of the best. I just about everything pro armor on my quad and everything is holding up really well. Everything i ordered is black and its holding up really well. Figured i'd have a chip or crack by now, but i hardly find a scratch on anything. only complaint is that my racepeg/heel guard nerfbars were a bit of a tight fit...took about 1 1/2 hours to put my nerfbars on, but there solid!

I gotta admit IMS stuff is nice but i kinda think its over priced, no problems with PRO ARMOR stuff i bent a mount on my skid plate called them up and told them, they took my name and address and said we will get one for you a week later it was in my mailbox thats standing behind a product more company's need to have that attitude towards there customers supporting there product.

all nerfs have the possibilty of breaking. i bet if you looked hard enough, you would find a few of every brand that hav broke due to abuse, extremely hard riding, or some other reason. if you have a larger guy that jumps a lot and puts a lot of weight on the heel guards, they is a greater chance that they may bend and snap. such is life...nerf bars are not indestructible, they are not airplane black box material, they are aluminum. any can and will break under the right circumstances

I got my Pro Armor Fat-peg nerfs and heel guards about a month ago and have been very pleased so far. I heard very good things about them repeatedly and although I would love to have an IMS-Roll setup, I can't justify spending that much on this quad.

You can get the Pro Armor setup for $242 from Rocky Mountain with free shipping.

the part that cracks on them is the thin aliminum in the heelgausrd. ive never really been a big fan of them. but to each his own. i like their bull horn bumper and xc bumper. im a prm and ac fan

I have been seeing a lot of pro-armor pro peg nerfs on here lately with problems. The heel guard part bends down, and then cracks off, and I guess pro-armor isn't really doing anything about it... other than that I've never heard a bad thing about them. I cant really say whether or not they're junk, but I have run their bumpers and skidplates, and I like both.

I refuse to buy anything that AC makes, so when I bought my 07 450R, I went with Pro Armor... The fit was the best I've ever installed, but the heel guards are cracking across the top where your heels are... They've been on since Sept 06. Other than that, I'm happy.... Anything will fail if pushed hard enough, but atleast I didn't have to break them while they were brand new to make them fit right.... AC are junk. I'll keep using Pro Armor.....
