mysery part from edelbrock carb

i was cleaning out my carb and a small gold object fell out and i have no idea where it goes it looks kinda like a bullet

does the carb work when you put it back on you z400.does it run.

Looks like the needle valve from most carbs, but I have never seen the inside of a edlebrock quad carb.

If thats what it is there is a seat and hole for it, it controls the flow of fuel into the bowl and is attached to the float.

What part of the carb was you working on when it fell out?

i was cleaning out the float area...btw does anyone have a pic of where all the hoses go b/c i think i might of messed it up

from what you have described that sounds like the needle for float bowl level. if you flip your carb upside down and lightly lift the float you should be able to tell where it slides back in. as far as the hoses try looking at edelbrocks site if you lost the instructions

remove the float bowl there is a drilling that goes to the acc pump it goes in there point down
