cost to revalve TCS shocks from mx to xc

just got a pair of used TCS front shocks in pretty good shape. i need to have them revalved from MX to XC style.

would it even make a difference if i rode them set up the way they are? how much difference does the different riding setting on the shock make? (i.e. MX setup versus xc setup)

any ideas how much this would cost and where do i send the shocks for this service?
