View Full Version : +2 400ex arms on a 300ex

hey i am getting a good deal on +2 burgard a-arms for a 400ex...
for chrismas i am going to get offset wheels to make up for some of it...
how much wider is my bike going to be that way i kno what off set rim to get
i am going to make some sort of bracket that reverses how they make the brakets to convert to a 400ex stock front end. meaning that it will face down about 2 inches or so... that way i can use my stock shox for about 6 months or so until i can afford new front shox... when i order new fronts for the +2 400 front end what am i ordering... what lenth so that i dont need a bracket just bolt up?


it seems prety detailed info to me if u need more just tell me thanx ahead of time

My 300 is 48in. with my +2 400 arm and that's with a 2X3. But your shocks I would send back to works and tell them want you a doing and they can rebuild the for like 200. That's what i did no brackets needed

yea i forgot about that... i can get them lengthened hmmmmm when they are in do i get adjustable rezzies put on or not... choices choices

hey buzzsaw ive seen your bike endless times but one more of that front pic please?
did u get offset rims to make up for the wideness?
i have inset rims making them wider so those must go lol i might use the stock tires a couple times until i get new rims for the fast treckers

I've got 2X3 duoglas right now but I've got some ITP beadlocks on the way 2X3 also

what the he!! does that mean lol in inches how far is the plate pushed out from the original spot?

Ok Let mew break it down for you. You got a 5in. wheel it has a 2X3 offset that means that you have 2in. that are on the outside the side that you see when you walk up to the quad and 3in. that is on the inside the side that slides over the brake rotor

Get the galfer +2 brake line for a 300 not 400

that will be long enough? isnt it going to make the front end like 3 or 4 inches wider?

i dont have too they are used i am getting them cheap they have a fresh powder coat and are in like new condition...
the person i am buying them from on here is the same person i bought my shox from so i kno he wouldnt screw me over plus i am picking them up at his again so if they are for some reason in bad shape i just wont take them

the reason he is selling them so cheap is because he only paid 1/3 of what i am giving him and what i am giving him is about 1/2 of what they are worth so we are both making out good
he needs new shox that is his reason for selling

back to the shock lengthening thing... they are going to lengthen them and i am geussing re-charding them when i send my shox too them rite? am i goin to gain any travel... loose any... stay the same i never did this before...

my friend has +2 400ex arms on his 250x, and then a durablue +4 for the rear, so its 8"'s wider in the front, and the back i believe.... and then hes got some nameless aftermarket shocks and that thing hangles pretty bad ***, but im just saayingg....

It will be a gain in travel Like 1.5 to 2in.
