Hey all,
Was riding my 400EX today and I noticed my rear brake squeaks. Its only does it when I turn and when its shut off and I push it. Its not a high pitch squeak either, its more of a grating or a very low pitch squeak. Kind of hard to explain. Any ideas? Could it just be dirt traped between the caliper and the disc? It stopped for a while and just started doing it again today. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!
Matt

If you still have the parking brake on it that will cause your brakes to drag and wear them much faster. Get yourself a blockoff plate and get rid of that parking brake. Then when you do that get rid of the stock cluttered up clutch lever and get a real one.

I have had or seen (OK heard) brake noises from clogged up dirt, bent discs, rusted caliper pins, skid plates and even sometimes from bent axles and bad carrier bearings. So check out these too.

the parking brake works it's way out of adjustment on these. Readjust it and it will probably stay there... untill start it up again. honda parking brakes are jumk. Unless you plan on tack welding into place, get rid of that POS
