I bought an AC swingarm skidplate for my 400ex and it lasted about 5 races. That is terrible. Isn't there a company that makes an injection molded plastic skid plate for the 400?

buy a prm from the quadshop, you will not be dissapointed, they are extremly tough. whatever you do dont buy a plastic skid, just think about it.

The cannondale's come with plastic skids and they work great. All I know is that the stock skid was tougher than the ac I bought. The prm seems to be made of .190 aluminum just like AC.

the PRM skid is heavy mofo'n duty compared to AC,,I too trashed an AC and I bought a PRM,,if you see a PRM up close brand new..you'll see why we recommend PRM..trust me..;) :D

yup...not bad mouthin ac...but prm just flat smokes them on their standard skid plate. i hit rocks the size of a small kid and hardly a scratch. prm has won me over hands down.

My AC always falls off. So I just dont run a swingarm skid. :devil

Or you could be like me and make your own out of 1/2" thick polished stainless steel... if your dad owns a welding shop

AC makes some good stuff but, Yup, PRM is the one to get. It's 1/4 thick and downright stout! Unlike the AC that is .190 and has too many welds, the PRM utilizes less welds, a better overall design and is thicker. It's the best I've found yet.

I hate to say it but the stocker will hold up better than the AC plate. It's a waste of your hard earned.
