Hi, new to the forum, first post.
I'd like some opinions on widening my 250ex.
I'm basically a value minded guy, so I am looking at the following mods:

Diamond J Customs A-arms widening/adjustable shock
mount kit +4.5"

UM or Durablue 2.5" spacers in the rear

20x11-9 rear tires either Razrs or Holeshots

Down the road adding 300ex shoks f&r
?Other options besides Elka/Works - don't race, not an investment banker.

Seem like reasonable improvements in ride and handling, No?
Mostly ride at OHV parks and vacation trips to Baja

first welcom to the forums u will love it second WUTEVER U DO DONT GET THE DIMOND J BRACKETS totally unsafe and make u handel worse, i have durablue spacer in the rear and love it. as of tires i woudnt get razers cause they dont last.wut type of riding do u do? i love kendas and their cheaper than most other tires but last longer and hook up amazingly well imo better then any holeshots out there and like i said befor u can street ride and they will not waste im telling u by expireance(sp?)
and the 300 shock only fits the rear so u will have to pay the money for elkas or owrks front shock , hope i help

Thanks for the feedback. After looking atthe install docs, I tend to agree with you about dj kits.

I ride in CA Offroad parks (mostly moderately rocks and dirt), a few trail, and desert(baja vacations)

front rims flipped, and 2.5" wheel spacers on rear

its not tippy anymore at all but it does increase bump steer
(its the wifes and she dont hit anything fast so its ok)
if I was going to ride it much I would throw a stabilizer on it.

go with wheel spacers, and for tires I have stock 450r tires.

Be carefull with putting wheel spacers on the rear, i had some 1.5'' spacers on each side on my 06 250ex, and it bent the stock axel. so be carefull if you do alot of jumping.

RE: a steering stabilizer, I searched all of my known suppliers and have not seen anything for the 250ex.
Any one have a source for these?

PEP makes one.

PEP may make a stabilizer for the 250ex, but i can't find it!
Just so you know I've spent over an hour today googling steering stablizers, 250ex steering stablizers, PEP steering stablizers, PEP as a company, etc...
If you remember where you saw these, I'd appreciate a point in the right direction!

Also, I read posts saying don't use wheel spacers on the front, but then say it is okay to flip the rims. To me it loooks a sthough the geometry changes would be the same.. more bump steer, incorrect leverage on the suspension, incorrect SAI, and on and on.
Now I will live with some controllable bump steer, esp if I can add a stabilzer, but?

ITP Holeshot MXR6 on the front and back.

I Have CRJ spacers on my 250ex they are really reliable. i go through whoops, jumps and some trail and they show now sign of breaking. go to CRJperformance.com

I looked also and cant find a stabilizer for the 250ex, I will look at the one on my R and see if it looks like it would fit without too many mods.

trxrider4567, its not the spacers that fail its the stock axle that will see stress from increased leverage.
