Valve Cover

Hey guys, I had a question,I just adjusted the valves on my 06 r and when i went to put the valve cover back on the rear bolt that holds the valve cover on stripped out, I barley even tightend it now the rear bolt is loose, Is there anything i can do?

You can helicoil it of put a timesert in it, I would check with someone local to you maybe a machine shop and see if they can do it for you or loan you the stuff to do it cause they are not cheap to buy the kits.

Do you know or know how i could figure out the size pitch and length of the rear valve cover bolt so i know what kit to use?

Sorry do you have the old bolt out of the motor? the honda p/n for the bot is 90002-MEB-670 but they do not list a size, so if you have the old one take it to a good parts store or machine shop and they should be able to tell the size, if i had to guess i would say it is 6mmx1.00 thread but i have not taken mine out in awhile hope this helps good luck Erik:) .

Got a tap and dye set? If so just get a more corse thread bolt thats close to size and length(like a 1/4x20).. Tap the new corresponding corse threads for your new bolt.. Shouldn't be a problem after that!
