Aerodynamics, especially at high speeds also your less likely to catch wind in the air on windy days.

Thanx .. but what about the rocks , mud and stuff ? suggest you must have tearoffs if you have customed plasticks ..

plastic will break when you have about 30lbs of mud stuck onto them and start jumping, for the aero not really imo just looks nicer and helps with not having as much mud and such

alot to do with aerodynamics, extra weight when mud is stuck on them, and i like to be able to see my front tires clearly, i would recommend tearoffs

yea i believe it has alot more to do with the weight of mud on them than aerodynamics. maybe if its super windy but on most race tracks the straightaways are not big enough to really allow for aerodynamics to make a difference. case in point before jeremiah had his accident he never posted lower than third and he ran stock plastics. i honestly did it cause it looks sweet hahaha

I race the WORCS and in some races this year we have been covered. No breaking plastic from the weight. I would rather have the mud on the fenders then on my boots and legs.

people do it for looks thats realy it...i'm sure if you get alot of mud on them and have a hard landing you may break a fender tho....
