I bought a '04 Raptor yesterday. I was washing it earlier and noticed there was NO COOLANT RESERVOIR. How bad is this?

Fill it up, start it and let the coolant run through. Id say you have a 50/50 chance of failure or itll work fine. My buddy has a kfx400 and never filled it up with coolant and it runs. I have absolutly no clue as to why or how it hasnt blown up yet, but hes a frickin fat moron.

not bad at all but if there is none in the radiator there is more in likely to have a lot of friction going on it the motor.which that will cause your motor to seize up, not good.if there is some in the radiator your good to go.the reservoir just holds extra in case your bike over heat's.take off your radiator top and look inside or stick something straight down in side of the radiator.good luck

Well that weird....anyway pick up the entire Resevior assembly on Ebay for about $10-20, top it off with alittle coolent and your good 2 go, its not a huge deal though so you should be alright

I always just ran a radiator. I just check the radiator fluid level every time i ride by taking the cap off and putting my finger in. If it feels low I add more.
