400ex carb on a 300ex

The 300 is all stock except a k&n filter and powercore 4 pipe, is it possible to put the 400's carb on it and do you have any jetting suggestions? I'm tearing her down tomorrow night so any suggestions asap would really help alot, thanks.

yeah, my boss put the 400 carb on the 330 once and he says it ran awesome, its a built motor though, not sure if it would be a huge improvement on a stock motor.

It wont do that much of a difference. A buddy of mine put one on his three hundred and it had quicker throttle reponce and it idoled higher but thats bout it. Nothing bad should come from it. I had another buddy that put a 400 carb. on his 250x and it idoled like no othher even with the idol screw all the way down.
