I believe the oldest is 1999 and if the 440 is built right ( not skipping corners) then yea i'd say its a good kit.

440cc kit is a great addtion. imo you should always go with hd cam chain, hd studs, and a larger cam. That way you get every ounce of power out. Imo i would go with a 426 so you have one bore left

426 is the last bore on the stock cylinder. 406 and 416 are other common bore sizes for the stock cylinder.

Some builders recommend putting in a new sleeve for a 426, if that's the case then there will be room for another bore.

A 440 can also be acheived by stroking a 416, I don't the crank mm's needed to obtain that off hand. I've also heard the 450 and/or 452 stroker motor are quite nice:)

I think it's a +4mm stroke to get the 440

is the 440cc kit relieable?

like with any aftermarket kit, it is only as reliable as the components and the install.
They can be very reliable if you upgrade all the necessary parts. Definitely would go with a good head gasket like a Comeics and some HD studs, Hardened valves and rockers. You'll need a Stage 2 or 3 cam with a HD cam chain just to name a few.

Some people don't upgrade all the parts and they are fine, some end up spending more money to fix it after it breaks. It's all your choice.
