adjusting/taking off a chain

okay sorry about posting the wrong forum but no one is in the powertrain section and i need to know how to adjust my chain/take it off... and where my masterlink is on my 400ex thanks.. oh yeah its an 04 if that matters thanks!

i answered in your other thread...so i know what you really need to know, but to answer this questoin, the master link has to be on of the 104 links on the chain, that is unless it is a stock chain that has not master link...they are rivet style links and will need to be ground off when it comes time to change the chain and sprockets
