starter button not working

anything i should look at besides just replacing the assembly

go all through your wires on the left side of the quad to see if any got accidentally unplugged

i had an incident like that a while back, i was warming mine up, turned on the choke, and all of a sudden it just shut off. i pressed the starter button, but absolutely NOTHING happened. i look under my seat/fenders and the blue wire got unplugged when i went for the choke. plugged it in, ran fine.

A couple weeks ago we were out and some how I got mud and water inside my starter button. It would still work, mostly, as long as I hit just right. Once home I took it apart and flooded the switch itself with WD40....stuff came out all dirty but eventually cleared up. Now it works just like new.

thanks for the replies. turns out i needed a new solonoid. got one off ebay and she starts with the button now.
