View Full Version : Case Cracked Cover anyone else??

My buddy has a 04 or 05 450r and when we loaded to quads to leave today i noticed oil on his case cover by his kicker. So i got down to look at it and the cover had split out in two directions away from teh kicker in a 45 degree angle. one toward teh rear and one toward teh front. ANyone lese ever had this happen?What could have caused this?

There are lots of posts about this happening to other people.. look around in this 450R forum.. you will find all the info you need.

It is caused by the kicker kicking back when you start it.

Unless you find a used one, Honda is the only place to get one.

Get it from MOTOSPORT.. Its like $113 for just the cover shipped 2Day Fed-Ex.. Basically for everything like gasket and whatever else you'll need your looking like $140..

What are you guys doing with these busted covers?
If your trashing them,I would like to get them and try to repair...
