Hey guys im having real trouble here!!! I'm going to put a new exhaust on my 400ex but i cant decide between Curtis Sparks x-6 OR HMF both would be full systems and my engine is stock for now and will be at least for another year. My dilemma is which pipe to get ALSO i can buy a curtis sparks x-6 shorty USED from a guy or a brand new HMF! Which pipe should i get overall and which would i choose between the CS x-6 shorty or HMF!!! Tell me all about the pipe if you have one, I WANT TO KNOW WHAT IT SOUNDS LIKE, PERFORMANCE AND DURABILITY!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!

HMF.
I purchased my stroker and carb off a guy who ran a sparks full system. We run the exact same intake system. With the same jetting in the carb, I bolted up my HMF to the stroker and the jetting was way lean. HMF has their heads together and they have a very free flowing system. You can't go wrong.

HMF has a thump. They are loud, very loud. The quiet core, which I have, tames it some.

IMO the sparks sounds better and what i have heard from people it gives out more power than the HMF but the HMF is still a good pipe.

I have a Sparks and I am really impressed with it. Nothing has broken or not fit right. It also sounds deep and powerful and it's pretty loud too. Either way you are getting a good quality exhaust.
Her is mine!!

the HMF is a loud beffy sound.man if the HMF slip-on puts out more hp and torque than most full system's that should tell you something.who ever told you that is full of shlt and never had one.it's cheap, loud, and look's good.trust me you will like it.you before:ermm:  and you after with HMF:) :D .

i cant decide for some reason! It's all down to HMF full system w/ jets for $440, yoshi rs-3 full system for $440 or a curtis sparks x-6 full system def. used cuz i cant afford the $560 new lol.... so basically HMF or yoshi, i think i just need to hear the friggin pipe on a 400ex!!! id listen to it on a 450 but the engine sounds os different in the first place..

Either pipe you get is going to be great, but where do you want the most power to be, low-end or top?
