a buddy of mine has one running 9.7's and hes only pushing 940hp... 1100 should be much much faster...

its fast but cmon guys, 1100hp only 9.9? I know guys with TT cobras @ 740+rwhp running 9.90's. Maybe even faster. A supra is known as a dyno queen, huge hp #'s but no ET's to back them up. Get 1100hp out of a v8 and watch it run 8's. Im not hating on supras at all because i love them to death, just weak that 1100hp is only running 9.9....

i just watched the vid, its 8.90's. Thats more like it for 1100hp. Still seems like it should be faster for the curb weight it has though. Thats a pretty light street car. I would still love to have one! There is about 4 riding around here. They are all clean as hell.

i found out today i asked a buddy that was real good friends with the owner of the 1100 hp supra and he said it was only 1025 haha but it burnt to the ground after running a 8.46 1/4 pass :-/

please explain to me whats the point in spending that kind of money that only run's 8's. the fastest import i have seen was a 7.42 with almost 2 hundred thousand in it. im a big american muscle fan. but i just do understand the point of a big ***** wing on the back of a front wheel drive car. or an exhaust that sounds like popcorn. my neighbor has an rx-7 barley runs and sounds like popcorn he spends all day and all his money on a car that runs 2 days out of the week. im not talking smack i just want to understand.

You should tell your neighbor that if he doesn't know the rotary engines in the RX-7s that well he should get rid of it, cuz they are HIGH maintenance. If it's out of tune, all they need is about 3 or 4 counts of knock and they are likely to blow up. On the other hand if done right and tuned right they are potent.

Only run 8's? Thats pretty damn fast for a 6 cylinder. And its not a front wheel drive car, its rear wheel. The wing does serve its purpose. And those cars can hit up to 200mph.

his car may be street legal. so is mine and it runs just as fast for half the price and im not talking about the wing on that car im talking in general. im from the quad cities. and all the imports are slow around here. a buddy of mine has a honda civic got it for cheap and great gas car. but it had a big wing on the back of a front wheel drive car. im not trying to talk smack because some of them are nice. but its just to much money for me. i can pay half as much as they do and go faster and still be street legeal.
