View Full Version : edelbrock for a 400ex on a 440BB

i have 11:1 comp wiseco 440 bigbore stage2 hotcam uni filter
no lid whitebrothers slipon no disk or spark arrestor. my question is they make a carb for the 440 but i have a standard 400ex edelbrock in the mail on its way am i gonna be able to even use it???? has anyone done this before
please help i hope i haven't wasted my axle money on a useless upgrade!!!lol

I think it should work but the 440 would probably have been better.

Ya it will probably work. But if you want to get the most out of it send it back to Edelbrock and tell them about your motor set-up. They will redo the carb for you. There was another guy on here with the same problem and that is what he did. I think it cost him like fifty more bucks but it is worth it I'm sure. Edelbrock is a sweet carb and they are an awesome company to deal with.

i run the 400 version carb on my gt thunder 452cc engine and it works well very well indeed i must get round to shipping it to the states to get it converted

i have the 400 edelbrock carb on my 449cc bigborekit and it works very well once you get it dialed in
