I'm setting up an mx quad, can I use a lowering link with my stock shock? Is there any disadvantage to doing this?

It'll probably make your shock softer b/c it changes the leverage ratio, so it might bottom out on some landings unless youre a flyweight. Tell you the truth, depending on what lowering link you use it might not be a good idea for mx.

I'm only 135 LBS so I have trouble getting any sag. I've adjusted the spring preload off a good bit and get some sag and turn the Comp/Rebound to hard.
