hi, I was wondering if there was an alternative to the GT Thunder, Sparks... 8 plate kits. I heard that 250R Fibers and 300EX steel do the same thing ? I currently have a hinson basket too.

Thanks !

Thats the setup I am using. Been using it for over 2 years with no problems.

8 fibers 7 plates. I am using a magura clutch also. Some say you need to have the pressure plate machined down a bit for the extra fiber, but I think the Hinson basket gives more than enough room for it.

The brake setup is awesome. Works really
well for the XC racing I do. I do have to get used to grabbing the rear brake without the clutch in, cause it will stall the motor. The fronts are awesome also. Thanks for the hookup on that stuff again.

So do you run these 8 plates with a stock basket & pressure plate ? or would it even work with a stock basket & pressure plate ?

Ran it with both, stock and Hinson and never had a problem.
