I'm about to order a 13T sprocket and was wondering if anyone has any input on the installation. Will I have to shorten the chain?? Is it a pretty simple installation??

yeah it is a preety simple installion all you do is pull off the chain guard thing, the gear shifter and make sure that you pull the bolt on the gear shifter out the whole way or it wont come off, and then re adjsut you chain like normal.

hope this helps good luck

I run a 13 on indoor tracks. Its great for the jumps right out of corners. I tried running it outdoors, but changed it back to stock for that. There just isnt enough there to make it on the long straights.

i run a 12 tooth and it is too low of a gear.my buddy has a 14 tooth and i have a 12 tooth and i can be wide fcking open in 5th and he barely pull away in 4th.it makes a big difference on the 06-07 because the tranny is geared down way lower than the 04-05.im going back to a 13 tooth.

Ya i have a 12t on for when i'm in the hills/real tight trails, but when i'm back around flat ground i def. put my 13t back on. I sacrfice speed for a little more low end power when i'm in the hills.

I have a 06 and love the 12 the 13 was just to slugish. Most of my riding is steep hills and tight corners.

hey man, it just all depends on what type of riding you're going to be doing. You might buy both the 12t and 13t. I Personally like the 13t because it gives you a lil more "low to mid-range power" than what the 14t has to offer, but does sacrafice a bunch of top end, and i do more hill and trail riding where i dont need the top end!
