Welp the Yamaha's are officially gone from my possesion, after collecting dust in the garage for a few months I decided to say goodbye. Sold them for $5,000 each. The YFZ450 had alittle under 10 hours on it, and the 700r had around 20 hours, I was finding myself throwing my leg over the 450r as much as I can and neglecting the Yami's, so thats what im going to stick with. Will probably buy something with FI next year and keep this honda as my trail bike. Im not sad at all parting from the Yami's the quality of Honda is just unmatched. Bye bye blue thumpers :macho

But yea thanks for the replies peeps. I started out asking $5600 for both of them but nobody was interested untill I dropped it down to $5200 and I compromised on both of them at $5000. I probably could have got the 5600 if I waited longer, but no big deal. The guy that bought the 700r had just got back from Iraq so I was looking at the situation as if I was helping him out with a good deal. Except he took the shock covers I forgot to take off! lol.

Haha, that is great. I have been there before, too. The Yamahas are great, but I guess to each their own.

Whoever bought those bikes got a hell of a deal! They were sooo nice.

Me and my dad bought the YFZ and I didnt like the way it felt in the woods, so a couple months later my parents bought the 700r for me and I rode the piss out of it, untill something set a fire under my *** to go out and get a Honda. Ill probably replace the YFZ and 700r with something soon just havnt decided what yet. Im gonna wait and see what Honda does with the 450r next year. I love the smell of a new quad's exhaust lol. Heres a picture of the YFZ right before I sold it, ridiculously immaculate...

really? i prefer my yfz in the woods over 2 of my buddies 450r just because of the lower ride height and softer stock shocks. to me its just a more comfortable ride. but from what i can tell, my buddies piped, cammed, and k&n'd 450r has just about the same power mine has.

the r has a diff power delivery

yfz acts like it needs to rev where the r has a ton of low end torque for trails.

450rs deffently feel to me like it has a smoother power band and have more of a midrange hit, every one that rides my bike agrees that it has great torque and the power hit is right off the line. i dont know how a stock one runs but with just a pipe and filter mine has plenty of turque, just as much as the 450rs ive ridden.

That 700r had me spoiled with all the torque, the 450r comes pretty close though I love the low end grunt, and the ergonomics are so much better then the YFZ. The 450r has a huge 1st gear so I went down a tooth on the front and its perfect. I usually start out in second when I drag race and can beat most 700's and YFZ's untill we top out. In my opinion the 450r is a perfect machine for the woods.
