Well the new water truck and dump truck that I've been working on getting for a very long time have just been delivered. The new dump truck will allow me to haul in more good topsoil, mulch and sand for the tracks along with stone for the driveway and parking area's. The new water truck will be a great addition, allowing us to water the tracks at night so the water has a chance to soak in.

I wanna thank all the riders who have been supporting the park, coming out to ride, passing out flyers, spreading the word to friends. The busier the park gets the better it will get, you can trust that your riding money is being spent to improve the park.

Insane: You need to just get in your truck and make the trip. Just do it !!!

I"m still laid up from my crash. Rented a wheel chair so I can get around the house, hoping to be out for the pig roast tomorrow. Looking like I won't be riding for a couple more weeks.

How does the cost of a water truck compare to a sprinkler system? I know several tracks that use sprinkler systems and it does a a great job.

It may seem idiot proof, but I believe the DOT has something to do with that. Ever wonder when riding down the road if that tanker is full of fuel, sewer or what else. Water trucks are labeled just what they are.

thats where the airbox is. Are those trucks new? I could have swore Sterling bought out Ford. Those trucks look awful clean to be used.

They are used fleet trucks that have been totally gone over, rebuilt and had the tank and dump bed added.

Those things look brand new man, congrats on the purchase!!! And i promise i will be up there one weekend this summer!!! haha

yep, it's a good thing you put "water truck" on the side....i thought the dang thing was an airplane!! :D ...at least i can see that you're not opposed to employing the mentally challenged... ...on a serious note it is always nice to see a business owner putting money back into the business...it shows me that you understand it's not about a quick cash grab, that you're in for the long haul. and also that your thought process is about return business, and the "long" run. kudos to you...and nice purchase!

Wow,

didn't realize all the traffic on this link. Thanks for all the congrats. I'm very happy to have the new equipment. These trucks were purchased through a DCNR Grant program that I applied for back in 2003/2004. Thre grant was awarded under a PA trails grant fund. We were competing against mountain bikers, Hikers, ski'er's, horses just to name a few. The grant funding paid for 80% of the cost, the park had to pay 20 %. A really good deal for us. We also have a 65 hp 4 x 4 enclosed tractor coming in the next 3 - 4 weeks.

I'd of rather put septic on the side, then people wouldn't be tempted to ride or pass the water truck when its on the track.

Just wondering, Dan. How's the chisel plow working out?

That's awesome, congrats, Dan!

I cant wait to come up and ride...havent done that in what seems like foreverrr. I'll most likely be up this weekend, not sure if just one of the days or both. And I'll deff be up the next Saturday all day riding and for the night race!! Just wondering, do you have a list of classes or anything for that race?...n do you have any idea how you are gonna be setting it up?..like one race per class or motos etc. Just curious. Thanks, see you's soon!!

The chisel plow works pretty good - its faster to break up the hard stuff with the loader bucket. With the extra bracket on the back I'm gonna add a set of discs, then I can plow and disc at the same time, once I get the bigger tractor to pull it.

Landon,

we are gonna run a two moto format for all the classes except the couch potatoe class. First moto will be 4 or 5 laps, the second moto will only be 3 or 4 laps depending on time, we have to be done by midnight. The smallest bikes and quads along with pitbikes will only do two 2 lap moto's around the whole track (by passing the big jumps).

I can't list all the quad classes but we have 12 of them. An A B and C class for 450's, an 18 and under 400 class, 18 and above 400 class. A sport class up to 300 cc and an advanced class up to 300cc. We will have kids quad classes by bike size and age. There will also be a Vet 30 plus and an open quad cash class. There will definately be a class for everybody.

NO AMA CARDS OR DISTRICT CARDS NEEDED.
