400ex performance

I own a 00 400ex with no mods yet. I wanted to gain experience with the machine before making performance changes. I ride pretty good and want to know what to do first for my riding style. I ride mostly dunes with banshee's and raptor's. Looking for brand name and specifics. Thanks i'm new to this forum.

well if i were u i would sell it and get an R or a Banshee for the dunes

But, I would get paddles, LRD full system, works shocks, maybe a 416-440 kit, a set of Renthals, Kill Switch

Call LRD or Sparks racing. They can give you an idea of what to do. I spend a fair amount of time at the dunes (okay as much time as possible), and I do okay, although I can't hang with heavily (sp?) modded Raptors & 'shees, I still have fun. Rider weight makes a huge difference. I have a friend who weighs 150, and on my 400 he has beat or tied just about everything except for the outrageous 'shees & 250r's & c-dales w/ the blaze or moto mapping.
