Any 6' riders out there that ride a 300EX, any ways you've made the bike fit your size. I can't move to a 400 class so I was wondering if other taller riders have done anything to make the 300 feel more comfortable, seems like my knees are a bent to much or is it just a shock adjustment ??

thanks

Taller bars help but there isn't much you can do about the distance from the seat to the pegs. Shock adjustments won't effect anything as far as leg room goes. I have thought about lowering the foot pegs on mine but I haven't looked into it. The easiest way to gain legroom would be to go with a desert style seat(thicker taller foam).

And you can get a +2 stem and some taller bars. And the seat would probly help to.

I'm 6'2" and I ride a 300ex. I have bars that are pretty low to the stem and I don't feel to cramped up. I do have a seat that is slightly thicker than stock. I've got a few pictures out there if you want to look under some of my posts. (See Friday 13th Ride).

i'm about 6'2" and feel fine. i have race cut front fenders, aftermarket suspension (arms and shocks), 250r swinger and shock (it sits a bit lower) and i feel great on mine. so much control since it's a more compact size

also, my bars are lower than stock i think with a stock stem. feels fine, but i'll be raising them within the next few days with new bars and adapters to make them taller and so the bars fit

what stem and bars do you think you'll go to?

on my dirtbike i run pro tapers cut a bit shorter in width, but i'm not sure if on my 300ex if the shorter will help or make it works for leveraging the bike..

right now i don't race (yet) i just ride trails and time trail laps gearing up to race some day..

i don't see myself getting a long stem, mine is really fine for me. bars would be your best bet unless you have really long legs.

you can get risers from rockymountainatv by tusk for pretty cheap. they look good, though.

I'm 6'3" and I ride my 250x just fine, stock bars, stem, and seat. I don't feel very cramped either.

i went with a +3 stem and atv bend fly bars and i feel much better on my 300ex. im 6'1". i just put ims pegs on my 300 and it makes some what of a differance but now i have to build my old quadracer the same as my 300ex is. the quadracer has much better goemetry though.

I'm 6'3" and ride a 250x, i run stock stem hight and almost lower bend of bars and feel just fine. It looks kind of odd and people have commented on how small it looks but it rides just fine with me on it. The picture is all i had for how it looks. its fuzzy because it was taken from a video clip.

i know when you're 14 money's a bit scarce sometimes, but in the world of handlebars you get what you pay for. and i know moose bars aren't the best out there.

if i were you, i'd save up and get some pro taper SE bars in atv mid. they're 65 dollars, but you won't regret it.
