WOULD A FMF POWER CORE 2 SILENCER OFF OF A QUADZILLA 2-STROKE BE OK TO RUN ON 400EX ?.MY BUDDIE PUT ONE ON HIS AND IT SOUNDS AWSOME AND DEFINTLY INCREASED THE THROTTLE RESPONSE.WILL IT HURT THE MOTOR EVEN IF JETTED RIGHT? THANX 4 YOUR TIME

I'm sure it will be ok, but the performance gain your talking about has to be a mental thing. The silencer is for a 2 stroke for a reason, and a 4 stroke silencer is for a 4 stroke for a reason.

u r probly right he swears its more peppy but i dont feel the difference at all in fact it feels like it lost power

im no rocket scientist but i would say it doesn't give u any if it doesnt just plain lose it... i look at it as a 2-stroke is goin faster so the silencer is setup up for its put-out, and a 4-stroke (cycling slower) with a 2 stroke silencer wouldn't get anything but sound but thats just my thinking!

I bet it has alil more back pressure, but not the right kind using a 2 stroke silencer.

i wouldn't think so considering it basically just there for power and sound output... i dont think it would do internal damage but thats just my thought

Naw running no header pipe at all will hurt it, or a really really short headpipe might hurt it.

It will not hurt the motor or anything like that. but your plastics and *** are in danger... I repacked my 4 strock T-4 pipe with 2 stroke packing... (on accident. the packing was mismarked in the bag.) It caught on fire and was a sight to see... Not to mention everyone laughing their asses of at me when it happend. Go get a T-4 or HMF muffler. you are better off

there was a 400ex with an 2-stroke pipe on it at a race i was at over the winter and IMO it didn't sound good at all.:ermm:

and IMO it didn't look all that great either.
