i have narrowed my choice of suspension down to TCS and elka. they are similar in prices, ooking for feedback on the quality. if you run tcs and/or elkas, leave some feedback on your satisfaction with the shock and what you feel the pros/ cons are. thanks for the help guys!!

I have rode on both.....elkas were on a walsh +2 front end and the TCS were on a LSR +2 front end..........they were both set up for MX and for 180 pound rider. They both rode extremely nice, but the elkas seemed to soak up the whoops and roughness a little better. I would definately go with elkas, if I were to buy a new pair today. ;)

TCS hands down. Elkas are good shocks, but TCS are so much more plush, they handle hard hits and soft stuff all the same, where as elkas are terrible in small stuff. I think you will find the majority of people on here will nod for TCS.

TCS winning the battle right now, even in price

We sell alot of TCS shocks and have never had a customer that wasn't happy. I have them on one of our XC bikes here and feel they are one of the best shocks made

TCS hands down.. They have great customer service and reasonable build time. You will probably recieve the elka's first if your ordered both the same day.. Thats because Elka has a bunch of shelf shocks, and TCS builds by the order.

I'm going to get a set of Motowoz's shocks for my next bike;however, if I wasn't going to get those it would be a set of TCS or axis...

I have Elka's right now setup for MX that are OK. They are a huge improvement over stock but don't perform as well as I would like them to. A buddy of mine has an Elka XC setup that I've also ridden that I liked a lot more. In either case, I will probably end up going with TCS f/r towards the end of summer when I re-do my suspension.

Just get a revalve/respring for around $300, and you can get a linkage too if you so choose. I would save and do it all at once. With a ZPS set up on the front and stock rear, its not going to handle very good. It will be squirrely for sure.

i found a elka rear shock for kinda cheap. remote reservoir and all. think it would be ok paired with the tcs frontS?

i had a works rear shock but the spring cracked. wasnt that great anyway. heard the elkas are much better

Yeah if you can get a good deal on, I'd say go for it.

even though u pretty much made up your mind lol, id say get the TCS too, back when i was going to put a front end on my 400, i wanted gibson/tcs, ive heard good things about them. elka's ive actually rode and would take works over them, the few sets ive rode felt stiff over everything

I had TCS fronts and rear on my 250R and they were nothing short of awesome.....I rode trails hard with that quad and they handled everything you could throw at them. Now my Derisi revalves on my 450R are close to the TCS's, but I would go with TCS if I were buying aftermarket. Good price and great quality. I don't think you will be disappointed
