Resprung rear Shock??

I bought a rear shock and was told it was resprung and revalved is there anyway to tell if this was done by looking at the shock??

The easiest sign is to look at the color of the spring. The stock spring is red. They sell kits for the R that comes with dual rate shocks which means that there will be two springs in the rear shock. Also on the stock shock you will have a black boot on the inside of the spring.
