Which one would win. My bros mom just got a 2006 eclipse, an i got a bmw 528i 1998. Anyways which one would win in a straight up drag race about 1/4mile and some change.

The I stands for the engine, as in I6 opposed to V6. Also L stands for Limo.

oh really i always thought it stood for injected, learn something new everyday. i guess that would be the same as saying c stood for carb'ed.

Wrong.

Some of the more popular letters for recent BMW's

I = injected
L = Long wheel base
X = all wheel drive
C = Coupe

My friend has a bmw and he pulled up next to a mustang gt (clone) it had a 218 in it and he was killing it until the mustang used nitrous. he has a 525i.

u know how when u floor it, if u push down the pedal hard it will go down more and the rpm's kick way high. its on bmw's its weird.
