I am looking to add some better tires SOON! The problem is I want to go with

23-8-10 up front and 22-10-10 out back. Anyone running this combo? I am a 205Lb rider and need a little more clearance for some of the riding I do.

Also,

Where is the best prices? I want to stick with ITP, MAXXIS or KENDAs.

Thanks!

i just ordered Maxxis Razrs 20x11x9. with a set of just plain rims because i needed new ones and was on a budget. i think the total was 152 for two rear tires and two rear rims from rocky mountain atv. they also have free shipping plus they come mounted.

i have 20x11x9 rear itp holeshot hd and 22x7x10 fronts maxxis razr 2 around 80 dollars a tire.if your behind someone with hd's you better have a good set of goggles because your gonna get roosted bad but good for the one with the hd's.there made for getting out of those deep ruts through the mud over the logs and any thing else in the way.they last long too.:macho

My .02 is don't get Kenda XC for the front if you ride in much sand, they push too much for my taste.

well i run kenda Knarlys out back and Klaws up front. had holeshots and hated them, just did not hook up well, but they do last forever. Razrs are a good tire, but wear quickly from my experience.

if you go with 22's out back, i would add a tooth or two in the rear or drop a tooth up front to keep your gearing about the same.

and if you have stock wheels, you need a 22x11-9, not a 22x10-10. your stock wheels are a 9" wheel.

Hey underpowered, how much air are you running in your klaws and knarleys? I cant seem to get mine to hook up like i want to. The fronts are about right at 4.5 but the backs are what i cant get right. On dry medium- hard stuff they want to spin like crazy with 4.5 lbs.

I guess i might need to go with the knarleys next time i guess.:ermm:

i run 5lbs up front in the klaws, and only run 3lbs in the rear in my knarly's. i change teh pressure alot depending on the conditons. if it is really muddy out, i will only run 2psi out back, and on hard pack i run 4-5, but for in general trail riding i keep it about 3 in the rear.

I know they are going to be a bit tall, but it will be nice to have the "extra gear" and the added height!

Oh, i guess i must have been running a lil too much then:cool: . lol
I didnt think they could be run that low i was afraid the bead might unseat under a hard turn. Im going to try about 3lbs this weekend and see how they do. Thanks:)

Yes ! I ride a little of everything. You can turn them around for what type of riding your going to do. Mine are set up for mud, but thats what I ride the most of.. There is a little more roll on hard packed stuff, but I know its going to happen and Im ready for it. Im a bigger guy as well and Im strong enough to turn them in tech areas. Soo their great tires but not for everyone. ;)
