temp light blues (reds)

Went back to the dunes this weekend after getting my jd kit installed. I think I went a little rich on the main (172) red #5 1000 ft up 80 deg.
my problem is when I push it hard after ten minutes of hard riding the temp light trips and I have to let it cool for another ten before it goes off. Is my temp sensor set too low?

BTW
in the trails I was riding with a 660, yfz, 400ex, and a z400 and not one of them could keep up with the 525 :)

I am not for sure about the jet size but it sure sounds like you are running lean if the motor is overheating. I would also check the radiator in between the fan and radiator. If you ride in any mud that area seems to pack up.

Your set up is on the very lean side. Put the blue needle in on the #3 clip slot. You are now set up to run rich at 6000 too 8000 feet
