06 heating problem

I was racing today in a cross country race and on my first lap my overheat light came on and stayed on for three laps until I pulled off of the track. Has anybody ever had a heating problem with there 06?

I have a the HRC kit with a HMF slipon with engine ice and the radiator was clean there wasn't any mud packed into it.

Did you check to see if your fan was running?
If it wasn't then the sensor for it may be bad or you could have broke your temp. sensor check that! Good-luck with it!

I just went out and ran my quad at idle for over 20 minutes and the light never came on. The fan would turn on and pretty much stay on after about 10 minutes of idle. I never loss power and it seemed to run good.
