I put a 14 tooth front sproket on my 313ex and I still hit the rev limit way to easy. Now I want to try a 15 tooth and was wondering will I need to remove the chain gard when I do this. I had to grind it down to make room for the 14. I don't want to remove it and was wondering if there is room for it with the 15 tooth.

I really don't want to remove the rev limit(might blow it) I was thinking of changeing the rear sproket but was wondering about the 15 T sproket.

If you go with 15 the chain guard will not never room to fit, ive got a sparks rev limiter on my 316 no problems

Does the Sparks rev limiter remove the rev limit or just move it up higher?

It removes it.

Is there a place that mods the rev box by just moveing the limit up a 1000 or 2000? I realy don't want to remove it completly.

It's not that move it up 1k or 2k they drill it in this one spot to kill the chip that controls the limit. That's. why they put their sticker on it to cover the hole

go from 38 t in the back to like a 36

I would just get the 15t front sprocket, it would make you go just as fast if not faster than if you got the rev kit since you are unsure of them.

I donr know for sure, but there is a 15 for a 250X, cause I've seen it in person. I didn't see a 15 for a 300 advertised though?...maybe theres something really small thats alittle diffrent:confused:

As far as gearing, I'd put a 36, or a 35 rear sprocket on. That front sprocket will make it faster, but at the cost of alot of low-end. With my gearing and 20 inch tires, it's plenty fast enough...;) :D

i had to grind a little off the chain gaurd to get my 14t to fit, i think a 15t is out of the question. And i don't believe anyone makes them. as for me i going down 4 teeth in the back and putting my stocker back on up front. if it's still to low i'll toss the 14t back on.

I know they're the same, but There wasn't one advertised for a 300 in Jameslucky, but there is one in RockyMountainATV. I think it will fit.

What kind of 14t front sprocket do you have? I am looking for one and want to know what brand is good.

I up my gearing everytime it starts pulling wheelies in every gear. i got a 14t up front and a 36t rear on order. must be something wrong with yours, mines just piped and jetted w/ some ignition mods. Theres something to be said for breaking them in right because i got the strongest stock 300 around.

why don't they make aftermarket case savers for 300's????? :huh

I got the 15t from Rockymountain, BUT! it will NOT fit. Well it goes on but I can't get the chain on with or without the saver. I have a big chain a D.I.D X ring. It may fit with a thinner chain BUT Who knows? I'd like to know if anyone has got one to work. I have 12/13/14/15s and 34/36/38/39s I just like to play with the gearing. I run 14/36.

14/36? what mods do u have? or do u do some wicked top speed runs to see if u can beat a raptor in a drag race in the salt flats:huh ?
