disc brake conversion for 06 apex [Archive]

We just converted an 06 apex to 400ex disc brakes. This is an awsome up grade to get rid off the drum set up.

i did the same thing now it wont turn

move your tie rods to the top of the knuckle instead of the bottom like stock...

I up graded my sons 05 to a raptor then to a YFZ 450 had the turning problem, moving the tie rods to the top helped the turning.

they are on the top just like the picture shows

I did the same to my boys 06 apex and I ended up trimming the steering stem down. Brakes work great and added a few inches to the front
. Usually the back tires do all the sharp turning for him anyway its just around tight areas off the track that he gets caught
