I've been wanting to get a pitbike for a while now, like a xr50 or a klx110 and I have an xr100 in the shed that just sits there. So im thinking about putting an xr100 engine in a 50, 65 or 110 rolling chassis (something small). Im looking to make it fast for when we ride on the road and small for when my friends and I go riding our minis. Instead of me riding my brothers Kasea Skyhawk 90. Do you guys think this project work? What do you think? Or should I just save up and buy a klx110?

Pit Bikes are deff fun to have around. I bought an '07 crf50, and theres times when I'm like, "man...what was I thinking when I bought that" but then I hop on then that, "Oh yeeeaah" feeling comes back :p and I'm glad I bought it!

Yea, thats what I'm trying to do but its old and it seems like no one wants to buy it. Its a 1989 xr100, but its in mint condition. I also have a 1988 xr200 in mint condition for sale as well. I think im just gonna get a pitbike after i sell the dirtbikes. But not sure if I should get a 65, 50 or 110

I dont really consider a 110 a pitbike. A 65 is a pitbike, but its a 2 stroke and I didnt want that, so I bought the Honda, and I love it and costs almost 3 times less than the kx!! MSRPs on the KXs are almost 3g's!!!

Yea, I think im gonna get a xr or crf. How much modding does it take for one of those to keep up with a stock 110?

alot just to make it big enough to ride, like seat, bars, springs for suspension. i had a xr70, and i wrecked alot just from the footpegs hitting the ground. id just buy a nice used 110 for 1500 or so. that way it will already have springs, bars, pipe, and other mandatory stuff. its always cheaper to buy someone elses build rather than to build your own. and you cant really screw up putting an exhaust on a dirt bike.

I'm still not sure what I'm gonna do. I've never ridden a 50 brfore, but have ridden klx's a lot. I want to ride a 50 before I make up my mind.
