View Full Version : Cutting out in high rpms
Well just like the title says when I get it in high rpms it starts to cut out. What's the problem is it my jetting? I have a 158 main jet. Anyone know?

Most likely your main jet. Is the Airbox lid on or off? If it's ON try a 155K. If it's OFF go up to a 160K.
Yes the lid is off. I have had both a 155 and 160 in it and it did the same thing.

check your air boot and make sure it is completely over the carb. if it is letting air in it will cut out. not sure if this is a problem, but it is possible.

if you're stumbles at high rpm.. mosy likely you're rich..
check your airfilter to see if its dirty..
see if you have good spark..
if everything is fine.. then drop a jet size and see if that fixes the problem..

No not even close to that high like 3/4 throttle or so.
Well thanks to fast426 I figured out what the problem was. just like he said the air boot slipped off the carb. So thanks a lot!!
